Simon Rattle conducts “Manon Lescaut” at the Easter Festival

The eponymous heroine of Puccini’s Manon Lescaut shifts constantly between true love and her lust for luxury, and inspired the composer to create music full of passion and drama, ravishing melodies and seductive instrumental colours. This highlight of the second Easter Festival in Baden-Baden is conducted by Simon Rattle with Eva-Maria Westbroek in the title role in a production by Sir Richard Eyre.
