Our trailer gives you a first look at the app

Olaf Maninger, Media Board member and principal cellist of the Berliner Philharmoniker, talks about the Digital Concert Hall App

The Digital Concert Hall
as an app for iOS

The Digital Concert Hall is going mobile! With the app for iPhone*, iPad and iPod touch, which you can download for free from the App Store, you can now take the music of the Berliner Philharmoniker with you, wherever you go.

The user interface has been completely redesigned for touch screen navigation. This allows you to easily and intuitively access all videos in the Digital Concert Hall: live broadcasts, concert recordings, documentaries and interviews, and the films of the education programme. There are also biographies that introduce all the members of the Berliner Philharmoniker.

Another new feature is the offline mode, which allows you to access our recordings even when no Internet connection is available. And if you prefer to watch the concerts of the Berliner Philharmoniker on the big screen? Our app is perfect for that, too – using the Apple TV set-top box which allows you to watch the videos in HD quality on your TV.

Incidentally, all Digital Concert Hall website tickets are also valid for the app, and what’s more, the app also gives you free access to one of the real highlights of our concert archive: a performance of Beethoven’s Fourth and Mahler’s First Symphony with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Sir Simon Rattle.
