Dear Friends of the Berliner Philharmoniker,
For many years the Berliner Philharmoniker, one of the world’s foremost orchestras, have been delighting music lovers all around the globe. Their passion to perform, their outstanding quality as well as their willingness to break new ground are characteristics that make them an ideal partner for Deutsche Bank.
We recently extended our partnership with the orchestra for another five years, thus securing such pioneering projects as the Digital Concert Hall, which transcends national boundaries and serves to bridge social divides to bring classical music closer to people of all backgrounds and ages. We are pleased that an ever-growing number of music lovers are enjoying live broadcasts of concerts in this virtual concert hall.
With another project, Zukunft@BPhil, also sponsored exclusively by Deutsche Bank, we have introduced more than 16,000 children and young people from all social backgrounds to classical music, thereby opening up new horizons for them and helping to develop their creative skills.
We very much look forward to continuing our partnership with the Berliner Philharmoniker and wish the orchestra and its conductor Sir Simon Rattle as well as its new director Martin Hoffmann every success for the coming season. May we all have many more joyful moments listening to this great orchestra!
