Daniel Stabrawa in conversation with Philipp Bohnen (33 분)
After Karajan, Abbado and Rattle, Daniel Stabrawa experienced his fourth chief conductor as 1st concertmaster of the Berliner Philharmoniker with Kirill Petrenko. In addition to his leading position in the orchestra, the musician has also embarked on an impressive artistic career as a soloist and conductor. Chamber music has also always been particularly important to Stabrawa. In 1985, together with colleagues from the orchestra, he founded the Philharmonia Quartet, which in more than 30 years has acquired a sparkling reputation through performances in Berlin and on tour, as well as through numerous recordings. The 17 string quartets by Beethoven, which they have been working on for decades, were among the ensemble’s central projects. In this interview, Stabrawa talks with his violinist and orchestra colleague Philipp Bohnen about his view of interpreting Beethoven.
