In 2018, Asmik Grigorian became an overnight global star when she enthralled audiences in the title role of Richard Strauss’s Salome at the Salzburg Festival. Since then, the Lithuanian soprano, hailed by the New York Times as “one of the most thrilling dramatic talents” on the opera stage, has built on this success. Today, the singer, who was named “Singer of the Year” at the 2019 International Opera Awards, performs at all the major opera houses and leading concert halls around the world – including the Philharmonie Berlin.
