For a performance of Fauré’s Requiem in January 2016 under the direction of Christian Thielemann, the Rundfunkchor Berlin was rehearsed by artistic director Gijs Leenaars, who came along to speak to one of the Philharmoniker’s violist, Matthew Hunter.
