Le premier acte de La Walkyrie de Richard Wagner, qui raconte la rencontre sous haute tension entre Siegmund, Sieglinde et Hunding, constitue à lui seul un opéra miniature. En décembre 2016, Simon Rattle a présenté cette pièce de théâtre intime musical avec un brillant trio d’habitués de Bayreuth : Eva-Maria Westbroek, Simon O’Neill et John Tomlinson. La soirée débute par l’enchanteresse Siegfried-Idyll de Wagner.
