Soloists of the Berliner Philharmoniker: Wenzel Fuchs

In this edition, Wenzel Fuchs performs what is perhaps the most famous concerto ever written for his instrument: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A major. “For me, its particular appeal lies mainly in the fact that the music – as is always the case with Mozart – is so sincere,” says the principal clarinettist, who has been a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker since 1993. Wenzel Fuchs performs the piece under the baton of Alan Gilbert, with whom he has a long-standing artistic friendship.
