Berliner Barock Solisten, Daishin Kashimoto: Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”
Whether as a ringtone, in hotel lobbies or in adverts, Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons has become a fixture of everyday life today in a way that the composer could never have imagined 300 years ago. Yet, it would be a great pity if, given their enormous popularity, we were to overlook what innovative testaments to Baroque ingenuity these violin concertos are. With this recording, the Berliner Barock Solisten and Daishin Kashimoto invite listeners to rediscover the shifting moods of The Four Seasons and listen to it again with fresh ears.
