Accessibility Statement for the Digital Concert Hall
1. Digital Concert Hall offering
The Digital Concert Hall is a streaming service offered by Berlin Phil Media GmbH (see section 4, “Berlin Phil Media” or “we”) via the website www.digitalconcerthall.com (“website”) and the “Berliner Philharmoniker – Digital Concert Hall” apps for mobile devices and smart TVs (“apps”). Users of the Digital Concert Hall (for reasons of readability, hereinafter referred to uniformly as “users” or “you”) can access live concerts and concert recordings with the Berliner Philharmoniker, documentaries, musician portraits, interview recordings and other audiovisual content on a device connected to the Internet.
2. Use of the Digital Concert Hall
You can access the content of the Digital Concert Hall via a current web browser or the apps on all supported smart TVs, smartphones, tablets, Blu-ray players, streaming boxes and smart displays. Depending on the available bandwidth of your Internet connection and the device you are using, the audiovisual content is available in various image and audio qualities.
You can only stream most of the content in the Digital Concert Hall after you have registered on the website or in the apps. Once you have completed the registration process, we will create a customer account for you. You will then have the opportunity to test the Digital Concert Hall for a certain period of time and can stream all content available in the Digital Concert Hall free of charge.
After this trial period, access to most content is subject to a fee. You can purchase time-limited access or an unlimited subscription via the website or apps. You can cancel your subscription at any time in your user account.
You pay the fee for use either as a one-time payment (limited-time access) or monthly (subscription). You will receive information about the available payment methods at the latest before the start of the ordering process. When selecting certain payment methods, we may redirect you to the payment service provider's website, where you will need to authenticate yourself and initiate the payment.
Users who have a voucher can redeem it by entering the voucher code on the website at https://digitalconcerthall.com/code.
As part of our Digital Concert Hall for Institutions offering, educational institutions such as libraries and universities have the option of purchasing multiple accesses for their users. If you are a member or user of such an institution and would like to use the Digital Concert Hall, you must either log in via the institution's network with your user data stored there or register via our website or our apps.
The number of users who can use institutional access at the same time depends on the agreement that Berlin Phil Media has concluded with the institution.
Further information on the functionality of the Digital Concert Hall can be found in the Digital Concert Hall Help Centre.
