El caso del Muro de Berlín - Recuerdos de la Filarmónica de Berlín (20 min)
Many current members of the Berliner Philharmoniker were playing in the orchestra before the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany. They include first concertmaster Daniel Stabrawa, violinist Madeleine Caruzzo, violinist Peter Brem, oboist Andreas Wittmann and horn player Fergus McWilliam. On the occasion of a gala concert for the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the musicians talk in this video of their memories of the time when the Philharmonie was situated in the middle of the border zone, of their surprised delight when the Wall was opened, and of the concert conducted by Daniel Barenboim a few days later. For all of them, it was one of the happiest moments in their musical careers.
