Soloists of the Berliner Philharmoniker: Amihai Grosz

Amihai Grosz, the orchestra’s 1st principal viola, takes centre stage here in our Soloists of the Berliner Philharmoniker series. He presents William Walton’s Viola Concerto – a work that is as progressive as it is nostalgic and Romantic – and Bohuslav Martinů’s rarely performed Rhapsody-Concerto – a work that effectively combines Bohemian lyricism with Neoclassical elements and jazz influences. Sir Simon Rattle and Matthias Pintscher conduct.
