基里尔·别特连科对话克努特·韦伯 (12 分钟)

For his second appearance with the Berliner Philharmoniker following his election as chief conductor, Kirill Petrenko programmed works alongside Prokofiev’s Third Piano Concerto, which the orchestra had not performed for more than 50 years: the ballet music La Péri by Paul Dukas, and Franz Schmidt’s Fourth Symphony. Petrenko considers the quality of these compositions undeniable, and explains in this conversation with the Philharmoniker’s cellist and orchestra board member Knut Weber why they still so rarely performed. In addition, the conductor talks about his training when he was young, and the differences between conducting in the opera house and the concert hall.
