Simon Rattle conducts Berlin school orchestras
In this recording, Simon Rattle rehearses with more than 100 Berlin school pupils with a lot of humour and all the experience of his great conducting career. This 15th Berliner Philharmoniker school orchestra extravaganza takes as its theme music “from the New World” – with works by Leonard Bernstein, John Adams and, of course, an extract from Antonín Dvořák’s Ninth Symphony.
