Soloists of the Berliner Philharmoniker: Marie-Pierre Langlamet

Marie-Pierre Langlamet, harpist with the Berliner Philharmoniker since 1993, is the focus of this instalment of the series featuring soloists from the orchestra. She juxtaposes George Frideric Handel’s famous Harp Concerto – for Langlamet “an architectural marvel whose perfection is reminiscent of fractals” – with a delightful discovery: Germaine Tailleferre’s Concertino for Harp and Orchestra – music that is “fresh, personal, always surprising and completely unpretentious”.
