Miklós Perényi sobre el Concierto para violonchelo de Lutosławski (13 min)
The 20th century was rich in ingeniously devised music. More rarely, there were works whose substance unfolds in more of a playful rather than an intellectual way which, while still ingenious, are also sensuous and spontaneous. One of these sumptuous creations – Lutosławski’s Cello Concerto – was performed by Simon Rattle and the Berliner Philharmoniker lin February 2013. In our bonus video, Miklós Perényi and Martin Menking, Cello player with the Berliner Philharmoniker, talk about the work.
