Le Concerto pour violon d’Edward Elgar exige un soliste capable de donner vie à son lyrisme tendrement automnal sans verser dans le sentimentalisme. Gil Shaham, qui interprète l’œuvre ici en compagnie des Berliner Philharmoniker sous la direction de David Zinman, est un tel artiste.
