다니엘 바렌보임에게 듣는 동독인들을 위한 협주곡 (7 분)
In response to the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Berliner Philharmoniker gave a concert at short notice on 12 November 1989 under the baton of Daniel Barenboim with works by Mozart and Beethoven. Admission was free and at the express request of the conductor and orchestra, it was GDR citizens who were to enjoy the performance after a long period of inner German division. In this video, Barenboim recalls the unforgettable event many years later. He tells how, from the early hours of the morning on, the spectators stood in line for tickets for the matinee concert, the feelings they felt in the face of this historical encounter, and of a conversation with a woman who had been forced to live apart from her son for decades and who could now attend this concert together with him.
