The cellist Rudolf Weinsheimer was a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker from 1956 to 1996 and witnessed at first hand the construction of the Philharmonie. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the inauguration, he tells the story of the creation of this unique concert hall.
