Following on from Asrael and A Summer’s Tale led by Kirill Petrenko in February 2021, The Ripening is the third work by Josef Suk he presents. He tells Philharmoniker violinist Anna Mehlin why he was “completely captivated” by this piece, which he encountered as a student, even at the first hearing.
