Kirill Petrenko conducts Schulhoff, Sinigaglia and Zemlinsky
Kirill Petrenko in conversation with Andre Schoch
“A Riddle” was the title of Alexander Zemlinsky's lushly tonal Lyric Symphony. Chief conductor Kirill Petrenko sees in this a reference to “a music that is more introverted than striking, an introverted passion”. He also talks here with Philharmoniker trumpeter Andre Schoch about Erwin Schulhoff’s Second Symphony and two discoveries by Leone Sinigaglia.
