Noah Bendix-Balgley sobre el Concierto para violín y orquesta núm. 5 de Mozart y la "Introducción y Rondó caprichoso" de Camille Saint-Saëns (2 min)

As 1st concertmaster of the Berliner Philharmoniker, Noah Bendix-Balgley regularly plays virtuoso solo passages, such as in the tone poems of Richard Strauss. In January 2018, he performed Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Fifth Violin Concerto as soloist and conductor plus Camille Saint-Saëns’s highly virtuoso showpiece Introduction et Rondo capriccioso. The cadenzas in Mozart’s last contribution to the genre came from Bendix-Balgley himself. Here, the young artist, who became a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker in 2014, talks about the two works and the pleasure of performing as a soloist with his orchestral colleagues.
