Tchaikovsky in his works
In our playlist dedicated to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, we present his Fifth Symphony, an opera scene, ballet music and solo concertos. His music is a focal point of the Berliner Philharmoniker’s collaboration with their chief conductor. In addition to Kirill Petrenko, his predecessors Herbert von Karajan and Claudio Abbado as well as guest conductors Seiji Ozawa, Mariss Jansons and Paavo Järvi have also proven to be passionate interpreters of Tchaikovsky.
