Knut Weber: a portrait

“I’m often happy when I play the cello,” says Knut Weber, who has been a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker since 1998. In our portrait, he introduces his unique instrument, which was built in Rome. He also tells us why an encounter with “Yesterday” by the Beatles was a kind of epiphany for him, what particularly appeals to him besides playing in the orchestra, and where he finds relaxation from everyday concert life.
