Barbara Hannigan in conversation with Hans Abrahamsen and Paul Griffiths (18 min.)

Hans Abraham’s three-part song cycle Let me tell you shows emotional states such as love, hope, desperation and mania in fascinating soundscapes that the composer seems to have learned about by listening directly to nature. The text is from writer Paul Griffiths, who composed a monologue using only those words that Ophelia speaks in Shakespeare’s Hamlet. In our bonus film, the composer and the writer converse with Canadian singer Barbara Hannigan, who premiered the work with the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Latvian conductor Andris Nelsons.
