Pablo Heras-Casado in conversation with Madeleine Carruzzo (16 min.)

For over a decade, no Spanish conductor has stood at the podium of the Berliner Philharmoniker – until October 2011 when Pablo Heras-Casado made his debut with the orchestra. In his young career, he has attracted particular attention due to his versatility, enabling Heras-Casado to work together with, for example, both the Freiburger Barockorchester and the Ensemble Intercontemporain. For his Berlin concert, he is joined by the “keyboard giant” (The Guardian), Marc-Andre Hamelin.
