Sir Simon Rattle on his “Stravinsky Journey”
His Stravinsky Journey “was meant to be an adventure”, said Sir Simon Rattle before his guest appearance in May 2022. In the year of the 50th anniversary of Igor Stravinsky’s death and 140th of his birth, he presented rarities from the composer’s œuvre with the Berliner Philharmoniker: from the heartfelt Chant funèbre and the Cat Lullabies to the spirited Circus Polka for a Young Elephant.
