The soprano Anna Prohaska, who Daniel Barenboim brought to the Berlin Staatsoper “Unter den Linden” in 2006/07, has a close working relationship with the Berliner Philharmoniker: as a soloist with the orchestra, she has performed under the baton of Claudio Abbado, Sir Simon Rattle and Daniel Harding, among others.

Anna Prohaska completed her studies at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin At the age of 18, she made her debut at the Komische Oper Berlin and soon afterwards at the Berlin Staatsoper “Unter den Linden”, where she joined the ensemble at the age of 23.
