Patricia Kopatchinskaja: Seeing the world through my eyes
Our portrait film presents Patricia Kopatchinskaja, who the Berliner Philharmoniker appointed their 2021/22 Artist in Residence. In the interview, the violinist tells us what fascinates her about slipping into different roles and why the music world needs more new music. She can be heard performing excerpts of Schoenberg’s Violin Concerto with Kirill Petrenko. In addition, the film offers insights into her work with the Karajan Academy and the preparations for the Late Night concert “Nonsense in Residence”.
