Mariss Jansons on Smetana, Dvořák and Martinů (14 min.)

The fact that Czech music has more to offer than folklore – rather, that it encompasses an infinite range of colours, styles and emotional worlds – was amply demonstrated in June 2012 with the concert by the Berliner Philharmoniker with Mariss Jansons and Frank Peter Zimmermann. Another intriguing finding: just how fresh and exciting Dvorák’s Symphony “From the New World” can sound.
