2026 Europakonzert from Turku with Kirill Petrenko and Leif Ove Andsnes

Flowing forms, a timber façade, and natural light in the auditorium: the Turku Music Centre Fuuga, due for completion in 2026, blends organically with the banks of the river Aura from the outside and boasts an impressive concert hall inside. In 2027, it will provide the venue for the Berliner Philharmoniker’s Europakonzert, which is being held in Finland for the first time. Kirill Petrenko will conduct Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony and Sibelius’s Night Ride and Sunrise, while Leif Ove Andsnes will perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto, inspired by Nordic folklore.
