Bernard Haitink conducts Mozart and Bruckner

In his last concert conducting the Berliner Philharmoniker, Bernard Haitink performed Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony – a work whose particular solemnity and darkened colour palette intrigued even his contemporaries. Also on the programme was Mozart’s introverted Piano Concerto in B flat major, K. 595, with which Paul Lewis made his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker.
