Esa-Pekka Salonen in conversation with Stefan Dohr about the "Late Night" concert “Late Night” with Esa-Pekka Salonen
In his works, according to Esa-Pekka Salonen, “there must always be room for irony and laughter”. This Late Night shows you the humorous side of our Composer in Residence: His fantasy Saltat Sobrius, inspired by medieval music, conjures up an image of drunken dancers. And Bach’s Prelude from the Third Partita for violin keeps flashing out of the tonal haze of his instrumental piece Fog.
