Krzysztof Urbański is one of the most successful conductors of his generation. At a young age he took on leading positions, including with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. In May 2014, he celebrated his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker. In this interview with his Polish compatriot Krzysztof Polonek, violinist with the Berliner Philharmoniker since 2009, the conductor talks about his programme of Czech works by Bohuslav Martinů, Bedřich Smetana und Antonín Dvořák.
